London at the time of Christmas...

What a happy day for eating at London… Yes, today was just about eating! My friend and I started off at Borough market where we enjoyed the intricate decor and the atmosphere of christmas, some amazing arrays of freshly made food stalls, some exotic aromas of coffee, chocolates and spices, some indulgently delicious monstrous oysters, and some exquisite paella. The plan was to go to Borough Market first and eat, then visit the Harrods and eat some more... Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it was indeed a VERY productive day!

If you are visiting London for more than a day, I highly recommend indulging yourself in some of the most authentic english and european cuisine at the lavish Borough market just about 50 yards from both London bridge and the London bridge tube station.

Lunch time: Enormous oysters...

And delicious paella:

Next stop, Harrods...

At Harrods, our main attraction was the sophisticated french patisserie shop Ladurée. From exquisite interior decor to elegant presentation of delicacies, Ladurée is definitely one of the finest place to visit to appease your sweet tooth. I had visited the main restaurant in Paris during my last visit and had instantly become an ardent fan of the company. Wish there were more of them here in UK… Today was already quite perfect but this just made it better!

A perfect end to a grand day!

After Ladurée we continued with some sight-seeing in the food section of Harrods. We were sure full but our eyes could use some more ;)

*Sigh* so much food, such good times… I can surely say this has been one of the most memorable time of 2014, among MANY others. Only hope for more in 2015.

Until next time...

Au revoir!!!
