Me and flowers

I have mentioned it before and I would very much like to repeat myself when I say I LOVE FLOWERS… What can I say... Flowers make me happy :) Colours of flowers weave a tapestry of spring and bless us with their ephemeral virtues... They add life to my house. As I always say, home without flowers is like a book shelf without books…

From March to May, spring time is the happiest time of the year for me... With tulips, hyacinths, magnolias and daffodils in March and April, to azalea, rhododendrons and lilacs scenting the air through May… Plums, cherries, almonds and apples all blooming and overcasting the roads like a canopy full of colours… While little blue bells, fair daisies, bright yellow buttercups carpeting the fields…

And dandelions… Tiny, yellow, innumerable and adorable. Spring time paints the playground sunny yellow with each flower blooming bright, and the air filled with the tiny white parachutes even at the slightest gust of wind... Ours truely, the dandelions...

Then comes June and July with some more… With the all time favourite lavenders. What's not to like about them? They smell heavenly, look so pretty and make all the desserts taste 10 times as good. From July all the way till the end of August, I love me some lavender tea and I love me some lavender scones...

It's a colour madness... Nature's own way of playing "Holi" :)

Here is a sneak peak of my happy spring last year...

March: the time for bulbous beauties

When the field is covered in blue hyacinths, red tulips and yellow daffodils...

Comes April when Magnolias rule...

And the sweet Azaleas give them olfactory the fuel…

Then bloom aloud the stone fruit blossoms...

Apples, cherries, almonds, plums…

In May, the little blue bells call,

And spread the rhododendrons in colours of Fall.

Yellow buttercups carpet the floor...

While hang the lovely lilacs galore...

And oh! Do my dear daisies grow...

As floral showers the golden rain throw...

Purple Wisteria hysteria… "Peek-a-boo…"

Forget-me-not when the seasons end too.

Against the grass I wish to be pinned...

For the dandelions blow in the wind...

Then is June, end of spring…

With the pink peonies and the roses' sting.

In July… lavenders… Lovely lavenders…

Nothing compares to these little wonders...

And the last stragglers are here to stay,

Like Crocuses, Freesias and primroses, until the last summer day!

Till next spring…
HAVE A BLOOMING TIME!
